Basic Buddhism Study Group On-Line
Every
Tuesday evening, students of the Healing Buddha Foundation, Sebastopol CA, meet
to study the Buddha Dharma. The purpose of this study group is:
- to learn and practice the profound and vast teachings of Buddha
- to progress spiritually in a gradual manner
- and to use the teachings in daily life
Each
week a reading assignment is given along with some questions. The following week
we review the answers which provide the structure for discussion. For those who
cannot attend the study group, we will post the questions each
week and post the answers the following week. The first book we are reading is
called "Liberation in our Hands" by Pabonka Rinpoche, published by
Mahayana Sutra & Tantra Press. You can order the book by contacting us at buddhaheal@aol.com.
We welcome any comments that you may have regarding the study group!
On
December 21 we will have finished reading the first book of our study group. The
center will be closed from Dec 22 to Jan 5. The study group will resume on Jan
7. We will spend January reviewing what was read and discussed in the first book
and then move on to the second volume of "Liberations in our Hands".
