Segyu Choepel Rinpoche
Venerable
Segyu Choepel Rinpoche is the founding director and head
Lama of the Healing Buddha Foundation-Segyu Gaden Dhargye
Ling. In 1985, the 98th Gaden Tri Rinpoche,
Venerable Jampal Shenpen, holder of the Gelugpa lineage
founded by Lama Tsongkhapa, identified him as the
reincarnation of Dorje Zangpo. In a ceremony held by the
Segyu Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, on February 19, 1997,
Venerable Segyu Rinpoche was formally recognized as the
tulku (reincarnation) of Venerable Gyudchen Dorje Zangpo the
16th-century Tantric master of the Segyu
Lineage.
Following
the healing tradition of the Medicine Buddha, Venerable
Segyu Rinpoche has developed his own therapeutic system -
Psycho-Spiritual Healing Therapy - based on Tantric medicine
and Buddhist psychology. This system pays special attention
to emotional and psychosomatic imbalances, providing
successful treatment for different types of psycho-spiritual
emergencies and crises.
